I am a life long maker and painter. I’ve been obsessed with Making my whole life. I am in love with the process of creating things with color. Intense, unapologetic color. I crave the freedom to create without rules. I like to say that I look at things differently. I am committed to my authentic look at things, while expressing love and joy in my work.
I have spent my whole life making things with my hands. It is one of the reasons I was put on this earth.
I have a degree in Art History and a minor in Classics.
When I was 23 years old I created an online community devoted to the art & craft of Scrapbooking. It grew to become a multimillion dollar e-commerce and community company. For 15 years as it grew, it was a leader, and set standards for the Scrapbooking industry. Serving others and teaching people to see the joy of creating while keeping their memories was a big passion for me. I spent a lot of the those years teaching scrapbooking and art. I led a very prolific creative team, and was an art director for our own line of products.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 30 years. We have 3 amazing, beautiful and tenacious children who have left home in high pursuit of their dreams at college and graduate school. Having Entrepreneurs for parents has set them onto a life path that is creative, fulfilling and full of aliveness.
I am also Mama to 3 giant Great Danes. They often appear in photos in my studio space.
